Thomas Jacob 'X' is a fashion designer from America who found the company X.He was born in to an Irish American family and claims to be the direct descendant of Scottish poet Robert Burns.His parents wanted him to be a engineer he eventually grew up to become one of the largest players in the designer industry.
His first shop was called 'the peoples place' and was started in Elmira .But his present company X has outlets all around the world.
X moved into New York with his wife Susie, and was assigned design assistant positions in firms like Calvin and Klein ans Parry Ellis.But however he declined all offers even though he was bankrupt because he had greater plans in his mind.In 1984 he founded X with support from the murjani group,an Indian firm.But however in 2010 Philips-Van Heusen, owner of Calvin and Klein bought X.
